From the start we always knew
that we could never be.
Forgive me if I hoped that

like the water to the shore...
or a moth unto a flame...

But not like this...
you fooled yourself and me...

But time or tears can not erase
the you I've come to know...

and never let you go....

I'll miss the days we set aside,
the plans to go away.
to share so much,

somehow for one more day...

But the time has come...
