Seasons, Seasons of my heart
The love that grows and changes
Like the seasons of the year
Give thanks for the seasons of your heart
Like the seeds dreaming beneath the snow,
my heart dreams of spring
Waiting for your kisses to fall,
like a new Spring fountain or a
gently falling rain,
Waking my lips and heart from the sleepy winter season.
Your love sows the seeds that grow like the rose,
the buds of your
tomorrow shall blossom in my heart.
Like the bee upon the flower,
taking the sweet nectar, but giving life,
so shall your fragrance be my breath.
Seasons, seasons of my heart
The love that grows and changes
Like the seasons of the year
Give thanks for the seasons of your heart.
When the autumn season is upon us
let us harvest our love
which has
grown and ripened, like the grapes upon the vine.
Let us give thanks
for the fruits of our labour
and share ourselves with each other.
But let us also store our love
as the wine is stored from the
fruits,
for when the winter season arrives we must draw from our
reserves to take us through the stormy season.
But like the snow that blankets the roots of the tree,
so shall your love keep me warm
in the winter season of my heart.
Seasons, seasons of my heart
The love that grows and changes
Like the seasons of the year
Give thanks for the seasons of your heart.
