A THIRSTY HEART 

                            
In my life I always knew 
I needed love and romance too 
Needed passion, souls to dance 
Into my life you came... by chance 

We met a warm, sunny day in May 
Home from work you decided to stay 
We had the nicest time I recall 
To the beach we went, that wasn't all 

We drove all day, went here and there 
The best part was, we began to share 
How our lives had treated us this way 
We formed a bond on this special day 

We found we needed each other to fill 
The emptiness that was in us still 
You'd come to me and you would stay 
We'd talk; we'd love, till light of day 

We couldn't seem to get enough 
To satisfy hearts and souls with love 
And then one day I heard you say 
I'm spending too much time away 

From home and my responsibilities 
Now where I thought, does that leave me? 
Well months have past since that first day 
Our love has evolved is what you say 

Not quite sure what's around the bend 
Evolve to me means  "come to an end" 
Well in a way, it did that day 
Cause everything changed, I'm sorry to say 

I felt the loneliness I knew before.. 
Before we met when I needed more 
Felt the pain.... time now spent apart 
I felt the ache of a "thirsty heart"
